This beloved classic, written by Louisa May Alcott, can now come alive for your little girl and her special doll! The pattern contains instructions for a daydress (circa 1860), embroidered shawl and crocheted vest. The dress features historically correct details such as braid trim, pagoda sleeves, dropped shoulders and overskirt. The batiste undersleeves are assembled separately, and may be omitted if desired. The crocheted vest works up quickly using simple stitches and worsted weight yarn.
There are no transfers for the embroidered shawl. The instructions simply say "The shawl can be embroidered, or it can be left plain, whichever you prefer. To embroider shawl: Using one strand of embroidery floss, feather stitch 1/2" from fringed edges as shown. Using 2 strands of floss, embroider roses using bullion stitches as shown. Using one strand of floss, embroider lazy daisy leaves around flowers as shown."
