This pattern fits most head sizes but can be cut to give larger head sizes, as well as different periods.

This bonnet is just two pieces, the back and side. The pattern piece for the side can be cut on alternate lines to give a bonnet that is earlier or later within this 20 year span. It includes instructions for making it as a fabric covered hat or making it up as "straw braid."
